Adding Machine are one of those bands that have been quietly brewing beneath the surface of Bristols experimental progressive music scene. Un like most progressive bands adding Machine take their influences from the likes of Georgio Morroder and John Carpenter soundtracks, playing heavily on the eerie synths Clunking beats and haunted vocals.
Ships To Sink is Adding Machines debut Single, it crackles with ghostly atmospherics of the heavy pounding synths roll right through out the song, building into a heavy frenzy, with the icy cold slabs of guitars and crunchy drums all topped off by the haunting vocals. There is something like the sonic equivalent of Black Magic about Ships To Sink, it almost feels like they are talking about the concept of life and death.
