Public Enemy featuring Brother Ali – Get Up, Stand Up

What is there that can be said about Public Enemy?, over the course of the past 25 years they have delivered some of the most potent and ground breaking hip hop to ever hit stereos, powering out rage infused hits such as Don’t Believe The Hype and  Fight The Power. Delivering historic doses of black history, lead by the talismanic figure of Chuck D.

Usually you would have thought after 25 years they would have calmed down as most acts would have?, Oh Hell no, Mind you we are talking about Public Enemy here and its amazing how one song can resurrect a bands career with Harder Then You Think being used for the soundtrack of the Para Olympic games.

Get Up, Stand Up See’s Mr Chuck D paired up with Brother Ali to deliver a slice of the Terrordome. My Hero’s still haven’t appeared on any stamps states Chuck D with an un atoned sense of rage. as the beats explode with well loved classic sound that Public Enemy have built their reputation on. Get Up, Stand Up is brutal in its delivery like Public Enemy of Old they wont go or lie down quietly, neither would I want them too!

About bigjeffbristol

I am someone from Bristol in England who is deeply obsessed with live music! its pretty much like an OCD styled obsession that means pretty much every night I am out. I like being down the fron for shows, because then I can feel the music pulsing through me and I am not going to lie to you, I like to dance a lot. Which can make me at times incredibly annoying because of being 6ft4 tall with blonde curly locks so I am the Thoroughly Annoying Blonde!. and I like to preach my geeky musical inertia to people!
