MT are pretty much a guilty pleasure of mine that I came across opening up at the Thekla opening up for American guitar pop band Walk The Moon and to be honest they MT ended up being the best act on the bill. If you ask me they were the best band on the bill, coming across as an overly happy Heaven 17.

What MT do is pretty much pure pop music, they don’t try to be something they’re not, there is no crass I’m sexy and I know it. They write songs about the simple joys of being happy, bounding full of joy. Everything I Need is about the raw joys of being in a happy space and it is smile inducing, almost like a guilty pleasures record.

I did admittedly find my indie self cringing I shouldnt be liking this, but in reality i was loving it. what made them even more charming was the fact that the main two members hi 5 each other when they made a mistake, and they had pure smiles pled on their faces. Their just way too much fun for me to critical of them.
