one of London’s many brilliantly kept secrets are Cold In Berlin, a female fronted industrialised alt rock band whose sound could easily be described as cold. brittle and intense. something which is perfectly summed up in the band’s name.

Little to my knowledge the band released their 2nd album a couple of months ago and this was the leading singles released as a double A side with a track called The Lies. its fair to say this see’s the band taking a step away from the heavy post punk feel that heavily dominated the band’s debut and driving more into the heart Pretty Like drugs sounding Queen Adreena.

It rocks with big blasting guitars and industrialised drums which pound along with the bewitching vocals that sound like as if they were recorded during a Seance, completely fraught with tension. I definitely think this band are worthy of some attention, whilst Savages have come to the fore front this band has wallowed mysteriously in the back growths of underground music.
